The Rogue Penguin
Only at a Nerd Party...

Here are the photos from our meetings (aka "nerd parties"), as well as the actual competition January 8. Click on the thumbnails to see the larger versions.

Tuxbot!

Here we see one of the many iterations of Tux. Note the snazzy use of a drive train!!

Yet another iteration in the evolution of Tux. Note the lack of a drive train (this was maybe, oh, 20 minutes later :)

Five minutes before the competition, Tux gets yet another face-lift.

Finally in the ring!

Tux is happy, having gorged himself on herring - I mean, marbles.

Our original design.

The Rogue Penguin

Can you guess who was digitally pasted in? :)

Aah!! The patented UTS last-minute-panic.

Qing and Allan having fun with their cameras!

The Competition

A nice pic of everyone who competed (well, some of them had left by the end...)

A lineup of some rather suspicious-looking characters...

MC2 trying to "climb" up the RAMP.

Vallabh, made by one of the other UTS teams.

That's Eli and Victor, two of the creators of kBot 9001 and kBot 9002. One of their bots was the only one to manage to get back home (by luck, but that's OK!)

More photos from the competition can be found here.
